Well, it looks like Modo 501 will be released this month! I am pretty stoked. The new feature set and the fact that is 64bit on the Mac is totally sweet! Hit the link to check out Modo. Modo and Maya are the main 3D packages I use. Modo is my main modeling package.

Epic will be releasing unreal toolset for free to develop games on iOS.

14/12/10 16:59
Looks like this Thursday Epic is releasing the Unreal Development kit for iOS. For FREE! There are a few caveats. A license will cost you $99. I think you still need a windows box for the toolset and then a Mac for the actual xCode and deployment. If you make $5k or more on your game they take 25% of the total made. It doesn’t seem like it is to bad of a deal but I still think Unity is a much better proposition overall.

It is a sure bet it will take off as the first game released on the iOS devices using Epic’s engine has grossed $1.7 million in four days! That’s right $1.7 MILLION big ones!!!

Designing toolset for iPad

10/12/10 22:59
Finishing study and preliminary design meant to replace a printed set of drawings and rendered images used by leasing teams. The tool will incorporate a custom UI and workflow. It will deployed and updated wirelessly through compartmentalized software updates. Possibly through cellular, but most likely wi-fi only to start. It looks like one heck of an interesting project as it marries realtime 3D, animation, UI, architectural design, multi-user(future) networked automated systems and helps the team(s) to be be more efficient, profitable, travel lighter, and be very cutting edge. Really looking forward to getting going on this one!
